I decided to re-write and republish this, so the post can focus on the wider picture of what the Fediverse is.
This has been undertaken following comments / conversations on #Mastodon about people not actually referring to the #Fediverse directly, of which #Mastodon is one of many services. Peertube is a video sharing platform, similar to youtube, but with a focus on privacy and decentralization. As Peertube uses Activity pub then content can be shared and federated to other services within the Fediverse.

Teaching Computing Curriculum
The new framework for teaching computing and computer science can be found on the Teach Computing website.
At code club we have a piece of software called Tupi, which can be used for animation. I am creating a set of videos for peertube to cover the basic usage of this. As I am using Debian 11 to use the software and produce these resources they can be found in the Debian section of my diode.zone account on the federated Peertube network.
Please do not ask me about uploading to Youtube.
The next Code Club is on Saturday 15th October, so we may take a look at this IF there is sufficient interest.

This is a really nice, informative video as to why Gentle Living Shop has left Youtube and embraced Peertube and the Fediverse.
