Why you read the article

It is common for people to simply read the headline and draw a conclusion this is not a good idea in many cases as the headline may not give a true representation of the story.

Lets take this as an example

So the text that goes with the link suggests solid tumours, but the headline suggests just tumours, reading the article AND asking questions to the poster on Fedi, indeed confirms this medication targets all solid tumours, I also asked if there are different types and yes there are solid and non solid (not sure what that term is) tumours.

The reader must come first.

One of the main issues with science publications is that for most people they are inaccessible, at least in terms of their complexity. They are written for other scientists. This excludes people from the research, esp if the research is funded by taxes, so the very people who pay taxes, can't easily access the science.

This could be about to change. An Article in Science magazine looks at this issue and is suggesting that science papers must take the reader in to consideration.

Interesting stuff. Lets hope over time we can get more science to the people.
