Critical thinking web
With the recent riots in the UK, fuelled by misinformation. This link on a Fediverse caught my eye.
Critical thinking web have some learning modules which combine to make a course:-
- Critical thinking
- Meaning analysis
- Argument analysis
- Basic logic
- Venn diagrams
- Sentential logic
- Predicate logic
- Scientific methodology
- Basic statistics
- Values
- Strategic reasoning
- Fallacies and biases
- Creativity
These courses and modules would be of interest to students but also anyone who wants to improve their own ability to think and understand the information we are presented (or perhaps bombarded with) on a daily basis, from a wide range of sources.

Who we are
Lecturify offers free online teaching and tutoring in a wide range of subjects, this is mostly undertaken via the IRC Now network on IRC (Internet Relay chat) .

EdX LaTeX course update
I have nearly finished the course, however I seem to have gone past the deadline so my audit period has expired. I just need to complete the section on referencing, indexing and cross-referencing.
To be fair, I can do the above anyway, I do get a little mixed up on cross-referencing, so this section would have been useful for that.
I will get in touch to see if this can be extended for a week or so, so that I can complete.l

EdX LaTeX course
I have signed up to the LaTeX course IITBombayX: LaTeX for Students, Engineers, and Scientists [1] on the EdX website [2]. I have provided a link to university of Bombay for reference [3]
Looking at the course learning outcomes, I seem to know quite a lot already, however I need to improve how I organise and layout documents.
A while back I undertook an experiment on Acidity of Seawater and how this can be changed with eggshells. I want to go back to the write-up and make it look a much more professional, which I should be able to do with the help of this course.

Eat that frog courses
Before the education sector broke up for summer in July. I undertook a 4 week course with Eat That frog. This resulted in the completion of the following courses.
OCNLR Level 2 Award in Progression
OCNLR Level 2 Award in Employability
OCN London Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Schools (May 2019)
OCNLR Level 1 Award in Personal Development and Employability (September 2020)
I have not decided if I am going to include these on my CV.

Personal CPD update
I have now completed more CPD. Firstly updated safeguarding for the next 12 months. I will however, need to download and read KCSIE 2023 in September.
Also undertaken a Zen Educate Tutoring course
Which is really useful and has some excellent resources linked to this.
