Mpox (formerly known as Monkey Pox) seems to be spreading amid some serious concerns from, among others the WHO.

There is a thread on the Fediverse, with further discussion on the topic.

Cases now found in Pakistan and one in Sweden, so does appear to be spreading, hence the concern.

Interesting article about an announcement in relation to the gene editing technique(s) known as CRISPR.
