Fracking
The UK Prime minister recently announced that the ban on Fracking will be lifted [1]. I was going to ask about this on Science forums, however I found an existing discussion on Science forums [2]. It should be possible to link this discussion to others to look at the wider topic.
There are clearly several issues surrounding this topic, and arguments for & against, it is important to get a clear picture and seek evidence based facts. I have included a link to Ask for Evidence [3] for completeness and to help people with further research.
I downloaded the paper from the discussion so will read offline.

A good argument for privacy
I found this on Mastodon, has some good reasons why we need privacy.
We need to take privacy seriously, so that we know what happens to our data. The issues of cookies is one that is perhaps harder to fix, on one hand, they are good for remembering you are logged in, or other data to help the site remember you. It is the cookies that allow tracking and data collection (and eventual sale) that are the issue. Understandably people are FED UP with the cookie banner so we need an alternative.
It is also important to understand our rights, saying that, rights without enforcement is a waste of time.
