<![CDATA[Bresser Microscope

I received a Bresser usb Microscope for christmas. This is a nice, compact unit capable of 50x to 1000x magnification.

Microscope
USB Microscope :

The supplied software is Windows & Mac (or this can be downloaded). As I am running Debian 11.x I used Cheese which is camera software. The software works fine. We now have the ability to take really detailed images of molecules. This is really important, if not rather complex but we have made huge progress in this. Should aid study of molecules and perhaps open up new fields of research.

Back in 1989 IBM made their logo from Xenon atoms [4]. So I guess this shows how much progress we have made since then.

Links

Bio-molecular Imaging
Physics World
Discourse Discussion
IBM Logo with Xenon Atoms)

Tags

#Physics,#BioMolecules,#Imaging,#PhysicsWorld,#News,#Research

hr

table
thead
trtda rel="me" href="https://qoto.org/@zleap"Mastodon/a/td
tda href="https://wiki.ircnow.org/?n=Shelllabs.Intro"ShellLabs/td
tda href="https://joinmastodon.org/"Join Mastodon/a/td/tr/thead/table
center
AI statement : b Consent is NOT granted to use the content of this blog for the purposes of AI training or similar activity.
