MAPSCII
This is an interesting little utility to draw an ASCII map on the terminal. It uses OpenStreetMap for the mapping data.
Open a terminal and enter
telnet mapscii.me
You should then be presented with a world map:
I used the mouse to zoom in and view the United Kingdom

Arrows up, down, left, right to scroll around Press a or z to zoom in and out Press q to quit
