Arduino IDE on Debian
The Arduino IDE package has been updated and is now back in Debian. It is also available in Debian 10.8.
I have installed the current version 2:1.0.5+dfsg2-4.1 Which is working fine.
apt install arduino arduino-core
So the first task is to add your user to the dialout group:-
You need to authenticate for this:-
And set the folder where projects will be stored, usually this is ~/sketchbook
You are then presented with the main IDE Screen:-
If you need to tweak some IDE settings then look at preferences:-
I now need to update my netbook version to: 1.8.13-dfsg1-1.
