      <description>&lt;![CDATA[Localhost tracking&#xA;&#xA;This seems to be the latest tactic META are using to track users without their consent.   Potentially a violation of at least 3 laws in the EU.&#xA;&#xA;“Localhost tracking” explained. It could cost Meta 32 billion. &#xA;&#xA;GDPR, DMA, and DSA protect different legal interests, so the penalties under each can be imposed cumulatively.*&#xA;&#xA;Update, well sort of,  Meta is now going to use unpublished photos to train AI.&#xA;&#xA;Facebook is starting to feed its AI with private, unpublished photos&#xA;&#xA;So as the article states,  check the terms and conditions and keep checking back.&#xA;&#xA;Update 16/7/2025&#xA;&#xA;Training AI on our private messages&#xA;&#xA;Now ask your self,   are your WhatsApp messages really private. I suggested a feature which helps users cite individual posts (if writing a paper for example).&#xA;&#xA;This has now been added to the issue tracker [2].  The actual issue suggestion can be found at [3].
