Meta to replace 'biased' fact-checkers with moderation by users
This is not good, we have seen a rise in far right content on X, since Musk took over, free speech has some limitations surely.
I never really got in to Facebook, it was full of people talking garbage, posting pics of their food, saying how drunk they were etc I deleted my account well over a decade ago. I deleted my Twitter account soon after Musk took over, I was already on Mastodon by that point and witnessed the huge Exodus from X to the Fediverse.
We are going to see a huge amount of misinformation posted to these platforms, we are also going to see attacks on EU/UK regulators, which is not good.
Given the harrowing stories from Moderators about the sort of content they need to look at, putting that content in the hands of users could be very interesting indeed. The whole point of moderation is to protect users.
It is going to get very messy and nasty.
