Debian 11

I decided to take the plunge and install Debian 11. This is currently in the very latter stages of testing.

Due to my system specification. I am running the XFCE4 desktop. Which is really nice and responsive. However I would run XFCE4 anyway.

Xfce4 tweaks

I noticed that the system was rather sluggish. Looking around in the menu system I found Window Manager Tweaks under the settings menu. Using this I have turned off the compositor. This has really improved performance.

Xfce4 tweaks

I only have Intel graphics, so this probably explain the performance issue.
