Radiographer skills shortage
This was headlines on several sites, while controversial, there is still a shortage of Radiographers.
To this end, I have tried to put some information together, with regard to the skills and qualifications needed for this vital role.
So from the National careers service site:-
Entry requirements
You'll usually need:-
- 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English, maths and science
- 3 A levels, or equivalent, including at least 1 science
- a degree in a relevant subject for postgraduate study
You can study science with The Open University, which may be a starting point for research in to gaining what is needed.

Scismic Careers Fair
I attended the Scismic virtual careers fair yesterday (21st July). Excellent event and really useful. I am not looking for biotech jobs, but I did find the CV work shop useful, esp scanning through CVs to pick out key words / skills etc.
Looking forward to future events, workshops, webinars etc.
