JMP Chat got mentioned today!

Hooray, I guess.

It's a cool tool, but it's quite advanced for a non-technical person.

You don't really even need to know XMPP/Jabber, but that is what JMP.chat uses under the hood.

You might be able to convince some non-technical people to use it if you set it up for them, but to be honest its site directions are quite good.

The logo has drastically changed. It strikes me as a bit infantile, but I'm not complaining if its an orthogonal sign that the customer service has improved.

I thought I'd have more to say with the CIA surveillance story, but I honestly don't. Not sure why JMP Chat was the only news story that got a written response from me...

I've “fooled around” with JMP Chat. (I'll forgo the period from now on, unless I'm making a direct URL to JMP Chat.) My number from NY didn't work for Google account sign ups, though. However, I will figure out how to do this in the future with another JMP Chat number.
