Netflix Thinks Us Stupid
After watching the latest Let Me Explain video on The Kissing Booth 3, I think there is only one thing left in my mind.
Here's my witty YouTube style comment:
Me: How brain dead do you think your audience is [in order to keep pushing out this bullcrap]? Netflix: Yes.
The context is that Netflix is willing to stretch out low quality books (or books meant to be single stand-alone entries), such as 13 Reasons Why and The Kissing Booth, into a TV series or a movie series way beyond the point where even die-hard fans agree Netflix should have stopped halfway through.
Meanwhile, the British Utopia cannot be renewed for Series 3 and Mr. Robot was lucky to get its final Season 4...
(Side note: this is also vaguely related to why no one making meaningful work today in film and television watches the Oscars, Emmys, and other traditional media award shows that have existed 100 too many...)
